Uzbekistan is the most densely populated country in the region – 33 million people (for 2019), and Uzbeks are the largest ethnic group in Central Asia. It is traditionally believed that the Uzbek nation includes 92 clans and tribes. And the ethnonym “Uzbek” is translated as “free man” and “master of himself.” The Uzbeks predominantly led a sedentary lifestyle and engaged in irrigated agriculture. So today, 49% of the population is engaged in agriculture.
Thousands of caravans of the Great Silk Road once passed here, and the uniqueness of Uzbekistan in that it has managed to preserve ancient architectural monuments, entire complexes and even cities almost in its original form. The largest number of world-famous architectural wonders are concentrated in such cities as Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand.
The nature of the country is diverse: endless deserts, massive mountain ranges, nature reserves and countless rivers and lakes.

The brightest and most magnificent rite is the wedding. The wedding is the most important event in every family, which is celebrated loudly and richly, with a large number of guests. The hosts invite all relatives, distant and close, neighbors, friends. The wedding can last 3 days.
