Welcome to Central Asia
Welcome to amazing countries with vibrant culture, indescribable nature, noble history and friendly people! All five countries have much in common, for example, the routes of the Great Silk Road - like threads uniting cities, or the Russian language and Soviet architecture - all 5 countries were a kind of colonies of the Russian Empire, and later were part of the Soviet Union. But also each Stan has its own distinctive features and characteristics. Today, within each country there is a great variety of nationalities living together with each other. The interweaving of traditions, religions, knowledge, makes it even more interesting and diverse, because it happened historically that this region has long been a place where people, goods and ideas come from different parts of the Eurasian continent - Europe, the Middle East, South and East Asia.

What is Stan?
Central Asia is made up of 5 countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. “Stan” is translated as “land” or “country”. Thus, Central Asia is the land of the Kyrgyz, Kazakhs, Tajiks, Uzbeks and Turkmens.
